Ever since he was young, Dom Luzwick ’27 dreamed of one day being on Broadway, and Carthage is pushing him even closer to that goal. Majoring in musical theatre with a clear passion for the art, Dom has starred in many Carthage productions, such as “Carrie,” “Nine,” “Xanadu,” and “Head Over Heels.”

Dom is able to further explore his diverse range of interests at Carthage by participating in multiple campus organizations, including the Carthage Chorale, Lincoln Chamber Singers, cheerleading team, Alpha Psi Omega, and Jazz Combo Club, as well as working as a videographer for the Office of Marketing and Communications.

“I am on the cheerleading team, the spirit team representative for Student Government, a member of Carthage Chorale and Lincoln Chamber Singers, secretary for the Carthage’s theatre fraternity, member of Alpha Psi Omega, and treasurer for the Jazz Combo Club. I’ve also been cast in multiple musicals and plays.”

Golden opportunities

“I got to go on the theatre J-Term trip to New York. I also went to the Kennedy Center Awards College Theatre Festival with Carthage as part of the crew of the play ‘The Genderless Play Experiment.’ I competed and was a finalist in the Musical Theatre Dance Competition.”

Internships or campus employment

“I work as a videographer and editor in the Office of Marketing and Communications. I absolutely love my job. I get to work on a lot of marketing material for the entire Carthage community! Hunter Montano is an amazing leader who works with me on projects and teaches me new skills every day!”
